Access Account Information

All Penn State students are assigned an Access computer account. This account consists of a user id and password and can be used at all Penn State locations as long as you are enrolled student. This account will give you access to all Penn State technology resources including eLion, e-mail, network access, web space, and campus computer labs. Most incoming freshmen will receive their Access Account information during the New Student Orientation program. If you have not received your information, you will need to bring your Penn State photo identification card to the Penn State Hazleton academic computing lab helpdesk. Your photo identification card can be used with a Signature Station to retrieve your account information.

Changing Your Password

It is required that you change your Access Account password annually after initially setting it. You can change your password at the signature station or go to http://www.work.psu.edu/password

Please read and follow the instructions carefully. Always remember, do not share your password to anyone.

Problems With Your Access Account

Report lost or stolen account information to the Hazleton IT Service Desk (570) 450-3456. Contact the Hazleton IT Service Desk for assistance in retrieving forgotten account information. You will need to have your Penn State photo ID card to retrieve any information on your account. For security purposes, account information cannot be given over the phone or through e-mail.

Note: If it appears that your account information is no longer working, be sure that you are not using the wrong case. Access account information is case-sensitive and is initially all lower case.
