Penn State Hazleton’s Spanish Club and Faculty Lecture Committee are sponsoring a reading by author Marisol Espaillat Pineda from her latest book titled “Strange Nights.” The event, free and open to the public, will be held at 7:00 p.m., Wednesday, April 2 in 1 Kostos Building.

In addition to the reading, Espaillat Pineda will display some of her artistic works and explain how her stories and drawings inspire one another.

Born in New York to Dominican parents, Espaillat Pineda is a poet, visual artist, designer, and cultural and artistic liaison. She also is the founder of “The Enchanted Lair/ La Guarida Productions and Design,” a special projects publication, design coordination team, and itinerant cultural movement for the promotion of the arts in all of its manifestations, as well as additional facets of décor such as the creation of fantasy spaces.
