Penn State's Office of Corporate and Foundation Relations
Penn State Hazleton represents an important investment alternative for corporations and foundations in the region.
Why? Because as part of the Penn State mission of teaching, research and service to communities, Penn State Hazleton is committed to generating impact for the region that is broad based and long term. Beyond providing a comprehensive education benefit to the region, our campus is also a substantial contributor to the local economy while providing vital resources and access to the community.
Contributions from corporations and foundations have had significant impact on a broad range of initiatives and programs. Some examples include:
- Alcoa KAMA provided a grant to support the Realigning Pathways in Engineering Technology initiative which is designed to stimulate interest among secondary school students in careers in engineering technology as we transition to a high-tech, knowledge based economy.
- Bemis Corporation contributes to Penn State Hazleton summer youth camps programs which provide learning and development opportunities for the children of our region.
- First Federal Foundation established the First Federal Foundation Scholarship awarded each year to students showing promise in academics.
